70 Years of the VDMFK in London

From April 12th to 17th, 2026, we traveled to London for the 13th General Assembly and the 70th-anniversary events of the VDMFK. Krzysztof participated in these sessions as a full member of the Association, affiliated with the Spanish branch (APBP) since 2017. Sharing this official trip with the fantastic artist Florin Anghel made the experience very close and special.

The program at the Westminster Ballroom included strategic decisions, such as the election of Tom Yendell as the new president. This gathering was the perfect setting to remember the origins of the Association: following an idea conceived in 1947 by the visionary Arnulf E. Stegmann, the VDMFK was officially founded in 1957 in Vaduz to bring together and support artists who, like Krzysztof, paint artworks by holding the brush with their mouth or foot. From its founding statutes, the cooperative established a principle of absolute religious, ideological, and political neutrality, ensuring the utmost respect for professionals from any corner of the globe. Today, this legacy remains alive, supporting around 800 artists in over 70 countries.

Precisely to honor the diversity of this massive global family, the event’s itinerary offered us fascinating contrasts that perfectly connected with this inclusive spirit. The trip ranged from an official dinner at the historic Guildhall to an immersion in the urban art of the Leake Street tunnel. The cultural core was the exhibition at Lindley Hall, where Krzysztof’s magical realism shared the walls exclusively with the immense talent of his fellow Association members.
