On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, we had the honor of organizing a painting workshop at IES Ostippo in Estepa.

The central theme of our activity revolved around “Freedom.” The students were tasked with painting everything that symbolized “freedom” to them using their mouths and/or feet. The results were truly astonishing; the students painted houses, books, trees, the sky, the sea, and more.

In contrast, Krzysztof chose to paint one of his favorite motifs – a scarecrow. To him, it represents not just freedom but also independence and solitude. The artist envisions scarecrows coming to life at night, when we are all asleep, wandering and exploring the world around them.

Throughout this activity at IES Ostippo, the artist stressed the importance of imagination, which can often serve as a guiding light through challenging situations in life.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Institute’s Director, José Antonio Flores Vázquez, as well as to the Department of Sociocultural Services and the entire school community for their invitation and the opportunity to conduct this event. We also want to express our gratitude to the students for their enthusiastic participation. It has been a genuine pleasure!
